The Colour of Animals

After doing the colour experiments with acrylic paints, I wanted to research into the colour themes of earths existing animals. Below are some photographs (all of their references are in a separate word doc) and the palettes I colour picked from them. Some of the hues can be surprising in certain animals and in others, like the parrot for example, you forget how brightly colourful nature can be. I did this mostly because of interest and to research into the colour schemes of some of earth’s animals to help inspire me in terms of colour for my own creations.
